Westcroft's Greenleaf Compound is made from a formula invented by Mr. Ernest N. Stanton, founder of Westcroft Gardens. He was a pioneer grower of Azaleas and Rhododendrons and other acid soil plants in southeastern Michigan.

During the 1930s he began creating his own hybrid Azaleas and Rhododendrons and after many years of testing, by 1949 Westcroft's Greenleaf Compound was perfected and available for sale. Most soils in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions are not suitable for growing this valuable group of plants. Using Westcroft's Greenleaf Compound is easy, and helps in the proper soil preparation for azaleas and rhododendrons and its continued use as a soil conditioner is very important in maintaining the proper acidity in the plant beds.

Westcroft's Greenleaf Compound is specially recommended for:

Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Most Wildflowers, Flowering Dogwood, Holly, Japanese Maple, Spruce, Magnolia, Pachysandra, Ferns, Blueberries, Mt. Laurel, Boxwood, Andromeda, Taxus-Yews, Pine, Fir, Vinca Minor, Hydrangea, Roses and more ...

Greenleaf Compound improves soil quality and conditions for plants that perform better in acidic and slightly acidic soils. Healthy soil helps plants to better absorb nutrients and resist stress, pests, and diseases. Greenleaf Compound improves plant health and foliage color, flowering, and harvests from food crops.

Application

Apply to soil three times per year: once before flowering, once after flowering is finished, and once in the early fall.

Apply two pounds per square yard between and around the plants, working it lightly into the top 2 - 3 inches of soil and water thoroughly.

“We have carried Greenleaf Compound at our store for thirty years. It works great on acid loving plants and we highly recommend it to our customers. We have customers who come back year after year asking for Greenleaf Compound.”
